How it works
- Step 1
Pick a deck
All signs, one family such as warning signs, or just the signs you need to review.
- Step 2
Recall, then reveal
Say what the sign means before you look. Recalling is what makes it stick.
- Step 3
Be honest
Mark each card "Knew it" or "Still learning". 20 cards make a session.
Learn, test, play
Use the flashcards to learn, a quiz to check, and Sign Rush to get fast. Revising for your test? See road signs for the theory test.
Flashcards: common questions
How do the flashcards work?
You see a sign, try to recall what it means, then reveal the answer and say whether you knew it. Signs you knew come up less often; signs you didn't come back sooner. This is called spaced repetition.
When does a sign count as known?
After you say "Knew it" 3 times in a row. Saying "Still learning" sends it back to the start.
What is the review deck?
Any sign you get wrong in a quiz, in Sign Rush or in the flashcards joins your review deck, so you can go back over exactly the signs you're unsure of.
