What does the Lorry route sign mean?
Black signs with a white lorry show the recommended route for goods vehicles, which may differ from the route for cars.

What it means
This is the recommended route for lorries to the destination shown.
The most suitable route for lorries can be different from the route for other vehicles, for example to avoid low bridges, narrow streets or town centres.
The lorry symbol faces the way vehicles turn at a junction. Other direction signs may include black lorry route panels.
Where you'll see it
On routes to ports, industrial estates and other destinations used by goods vehicles.
