Regulatory sign
No towed caravans sign
What does the No towed caravans sign mean?
Vehicles towing caravans must not go past this sign. Find another route before you reach it.
What it means
Towed caravans are banned from the road beyond the sign.
The car and caravan inside a red ring show that towing a caravan is not allowed here, usually because the road is narrow, steep or twisty.
If you are towing, look for another route. The ban does not apply to the car on its own.
Where you'll see it
At the start of narrow or steep roads unsuitable for caravans.
